Introduction To The Level 8 System
MPI’s premium Level 8 PDS enhances safety on surface mines with vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-person (with PPS), and vehicle-to-object (with radar) detection. It provides visual and audible alerts when set parameters are breached, along with driver advisories to slow or stop the vehicle.
The system’s accuracy in under-roof environments can be improved with RTD modules and is upgradable to Level 9 with additional modules and firmware updates.
Compact System Overview
The visual display system/unit consists of a 4.3-inch, LCD screen. This unit is responsible for illustrating the numerous stationary objects with antennas, pedestrians with PPS units and other vehicles with an installed ISS system within the proximity of the operating vehicle.
The LCD screen includes buttons for user interaction with the system. The unit is also powered by the lighter socket in your vehicle.
